For those who enjoy reading, for those who love to get, be challenged by, and can filter new ideas … for those who love reading the Acts of the Apostles (the book of Acts in the Bible) and marvel at the work of the Holy Spirit as seen in the rapid expansion of the early church (“… the churches were being strengthened in the faith, and were increasing in number daily.” Acts 16:5) … I want to recommend the following article from The New York Times …

I will look forward to discussing the article with those who read it.
Pray before you read it … pray before you search the Scriptures during and after reading the article and ask yourself as you read the following questions …
- “What can we learn from others who are reaching people, and connecting people with Jesus?”
- “What can we offer others in our community that will make a difference in their lives as we too point them to, and seek to connect them with, Jesus?”
- “What should we … continue to do … do differently … stop doing … begin doing again … try for the first time as a church?”
May we learn to boldly and courageously continue Jesus’ self described mission in Luke 19:10: “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.”
